As Your Coach I Will Work With You to . . .

• Connect with who you are.

Using assessments, check lists, and discussion, we can identify, review, and reflect on your values, personal traits, qualities, strengths, skills, and work accomplishments to design a career that fits who you really are.

• Identify the career environment and framework.

Using assessments, checklists, and discussions we can explore your work environment preferences, financial goals, likes and dislikes, your background, your work experience, your beliefs about work and money, limitations and opportunities based on your family expectations of you and your work, life circumstance, interests, delights, what energizes you.

• Integrate who you are with the career environment you want.

Using both online research and research through information meetings, you can explore and research the various career paths and branches. Fine tune your focus to get the job you really want!

• Develop your marketing brochure – your resume.

Through a very comprehensive review and documentation process, we will work collaboratively to convert your accomplishments and skills into a powerful resume that gets the attention of hiring managers. We want to showing clearly your job focus, key skills, and accomplishments so the reader can real picture what you have done and thus what you can do for them.

• Develop and review written search materials.

Through your written cover letters, emails, online job ad responses, and thank you emails and letters, you will reveal yourself. Is your writing focused on their needs? Impactful? Thoughtful? Showcase your expertise? Say what you want to say?

• Learn and put into action the “how to do it” of job search.

I will coach you through the myriad of details of career exploration and job search in today's world: answering online ads, targeting companies, using recruiters, networking meetings, information meetings, using online networking tools like LinkedIn (send me an email if you want to link with me), discovering open positions, creating positions, getting past “no” and getting to “yes.”

• Prep and rehearse for interviews.

Understand the strategy of the interview and how to be really who you are while showing your strengths and what you can do for that potential manager. We will rehearse the answers to interview questions, and prep for those behavior interviews commonly used in hiring. Be the candidate they know they need!

• Negotiate the offer and get the salary you deserve.

A hiring manager is committed to you once they offer you a position. The foundation for your relationship is in play, and how you negotiate will impact their attitudes about you and may impact your future. Yet this is the right time and best time to ask for more compensation, get the extra vacation days, bonus, and benefits. You can get what you want and leave a lasting positive impression with your new boss!

• Lay a firm foundation in your new job.

Planning the strategy and paying keen attention to your entry into an organization can make the difference in you how you do your work, how you relate to colleagues and the boss, how much free time you will have with your family, job stress, and clarity of responsibility. What messages do you want to send? How do you want to integrate into the new culture of the organization? What patterns do you want to establish in your new environment? Let’s plan for success on the job! Let’s create the ideal job environment so you LOVE going to work!
